MY EDUCATION
Hell yeah! Another new band. I met Brian Purington from My Education at the funeral of Jerry Fuchs (Maserati) and when we were driving to Atlanta Airport, he told me about the new record by his band. We were hanging out for two hours at the airport and I got more and more excited. And so the story continues...
"Sunrise", a new album of pieces from their original score for F.W. Murnau's 1927 silent masterpiece "Sunrise: A Song of Two Humans", finds the band in peak form. Having perfected the material with live film performances over the last two years with sold out shows across the USA, My Education has captured 40 plus minutes of a soundtrack to the long dark night of the soul. Sunrise is an aural experience that is original and unique. This soundtrack finds parallels with the soundscapes Popol Vuh created for Werner Herzog's films.
It will be released on 25th June on CD / Digital. We are in the talks for a vinyl version as well. Soon you can stream three songs of the record.

KERRETTA
On 28th May KERRETTA will release their debut record entitled "Vilayer" on Golden Antenna Records as CD/ LP / Digital. The trio hail from the hinterlands of Auckland, New Zealand.
Their instrumental rock has a unique note of propulsive, monolithic walls of sound and dreamy, melodic, but at the same time triumphant passages that stuck immediately in your ear. Kerretta don`t write eclectic, bombastic compositions, but detailed, progressive songs.

Kerretta got nominated in their home-country for the "Taite Music Prize" 2010 which is the counterpart of the "Mercury Awards For Songwriting" in the UK.
The vinyl will be housed in 500gsm thick gatefold sleeves. There will be a limited version for this. More on this soon including preorders with crazy t-shirt bundles for the first time. The CD version will also come as gatefold - on 450gsm thick cardboard.
