ARKTIKA - symmetry LP (NAR 046)
Arktika sind zurück und veröffentlichen am 2. August mit „Symmetry“ ihr drittes Album seit 2008. Stilistisch klingen die fünf Kölner mit „Symmetry“ weiterhin extrem eigenständig: epische Post-Rock Elemente vermischen sich mit tonnenschweren Sludge Parts, Fetzen von 90er Jahre Emocore werden in der Tiefe mit atmosphärischen Melodien erweitert. Dazu ein wütend-emotionaler Gesang mit persönlichen Texten. Musikalische Vergleiche sind schwer, aber Freunde von Bands wie Envy, Explosions in the Sky, Isis oder Lightbearer werden sicher auf Ihre Kosten kommen. „Symmetry“ enthält 5 Songs mit insgesamt etwa 40 Minuten Laufzeit. Aufgenommen wurde das Album in den Gottesweg Studios Köln von Sebastian Blaschke, gemastert bei Sunroom Mastering in New York von Dan Coutant. Alle Platten kommen mit einem Downloadcode und einem wunderschönen 8-seitigen Booklet. Erste Pressung: 500 Stück. 200 in halb clear/halb weißgemischten Vinyl, 100 Stück in 180gramm schwarzem Vinyl und 200 Stück normal in schwarzen Vinyl ! Und extra für dieses Release gibt es auch ein schickes limitiertes Package (Shirt und LP) von insgesamt 50 Stück !
