Schwer zu sagen: Allein der vehemente Post Punk von The Beautiful Life Of The Wasted Youth und die verspielte Analog-Nummer This Was ‚die Modernistische Welt‘ liegen schon dermaßen weit auseinander, dass sich kein treffendes Schlagwort findet, das sie gemeinsam unter einen Hut zwingen könnte. Was sprachlich scheitert, funktioniert musikalische überraschend tadelos.

The confirmation lies in the 13 tracks of "Sisyphus", a record that goes from the Electro-Post-Punk of "All Is Well" and "The Beautiful Life Of The Wasted Youth" to the haunting atmosphere of sci-fi with a whiff of Numan/Foxx expressed in " This Was die modernistische Welt."
From the dark omens of "Gritty Existence" emerges the theremin, reminiscent of some horror Tuxedomoon.
"La Defense" is all ethereal, mixed with a sublime taste of the 80s, providing Post Wave with a marble horizon. The best is expressed in "Leaving Berlin", mixing early KRAFWERK and OMD, evoking electro-ambient-wave ectoplasm, whereas "Les Giraffes" is a delicate web of layers produced by a haunting synthesizer and guitar.
