Halo of Pendor was born in the Spring of 2006. Having grown tired of spending all of his musical life in rehearsal studies and on the road with various bands, Daniel thought it was high time to make something of his own creativity. Halo of Pendor was created as a sort of sanctuary for his long pent up musical ideas.

Daniel Öhman was born in 1981 in Kalmar, a city in the south east of Sweden. He had the good fortune to be raised in a family with an active interest in culture. Both of his parents spent their youth working as artists in circuses all over Europe and his father went on to become the owner of a stationary circus in Sweden where Daniel the majority of his childhood. Daniel himself entered the circus ring together with my father at the tender age of eight and it was this first contact with an audience and the atmosphere that was created by performing that has enchanted him ever since.

Over the years, Daniel started playing in different punk/hardcore projects and along with the music came an enthusiasm for politics and in particular an interest in animal rights. He admits that he became an angry political hardcore vegan and eventually told his father that he could never work in a circus again: A decision that he regrets to this day.

At the age of 19, Daniel left his family and friends in Kalmar and moved to Gothenburg to take his interest in music more seriously. Since then he’s been extremely busy working in music studios as a producer and engineer, studying music production, teaching the guitar to children, teaching music to the mentally disabled and of course creating and performing music.

Daniel currently works as a student assistant during the week and assists a disabled 12 year old boy during the weekends. While he’s working he uses the time to make up poetry and melodies in his head and these eventually result in new Halo of Pendor songs. As if all of this wasn’t enough and in addition to Halo Of Pendor, Daniel still plays in three different bands that are all busy performing and touring.
