Link have been stalwarts of Belgium and European hardcore/crust scene for many years and for those unfamiliar Link are firmly with in the ground fans of His Hero Is Gone, Bacchus and From Ashes Rise.

MORO MORO LAND is the absolutely terrifying "tenebris". A furious number with black metal-esque bile and a palpable sense of anger. The truth is that they deliver an ultraviolent music in the wake of great bands like HEXIS, CELESTE, SHORA or DEATHSPELL OMEGA. Even if the point isn't to produce the most inovative shit, MORO MORO LAND manages to blow everything on its way. No silence, no compromise.

Within the vast and often chaotic global network that is the DIY Hardcore scene, like-minded bands may often exist for years without even being aware of each other. When their paths finally cross though, even under the most coincidental circumstances, strong and very fruitful alliances may be forged instantly. This is exactly what happened when SANGHARSHA, a NYC-based band consisting of four Nepali guys, who have been channeling the struggle of existence into crushing Hardcore since 2010 met German Negative Hardcore outfit BLANK, who have released two records entitled ‘Calix’ and ‘Suspiria’ and played shows all over Europe since their inception in 2011.
The axis New York-Ohligs-Kathmandu will be strong in 2015 teaming up for a split LP entitled 'Intermundia' as well as a short US-Tour in July/August. 'Intermundia' contains three new songs by each band, showcasing their different takes on dark, modern, crushing Hardcore. The whole affair was mastered by Brad Boatright at Audiosiege and will be out on Alerta Antifascista and Holy Goat Records on May 27th.

With a short but eventful history which traces back to the band’s formation in Dortmund at the end of 2011, RED APOLLO are about to release their second full-length entitled "Altruist". The debut “Marche Funebre” (2012 - released on CD and LP) and the following “Transgression” split series (2013 – containing each a Split 7” with GOTTESMORDER, SUNDOWNING, WITHERS) have already favored the band to shape a distinctive sense for bright melodies embedded in a massive and crushing whirlwind of guitars and pounding drums. These artistic improvements on the one side and the rich touring background including numerous shows in Germany and its surrounding countries on the other side increased the band’s reputation of both fans and critics throughout the scene. On March 27th RED APOLLO will finally release “Altruist” on the german labels MOMENT OF COLLAPSE RECORDS and ALERTA ANTIFASCISTA RECORDS. Made up of almost 60 minutes of brand new material, RED APOLLO are once again pushing the limits of extreme music on their new record into a unique evolving artistic vision. Yet not just on a musical level but also lyrically, the band consistently explores the depths of hurtful aspiration and interpersonal devotion to guide the listener on this melancholic and crushing ten song trip. With contributions of guest-musicians such as Amanda Rogers, the album set sails to new frontiers in the bands history. Built on several influences like Hardcore, Metal, Punk, Black Metal as well as ambient music, the quartet created a rough gem that gets more in shape with every listen.

Ictus need no introduction as they have been innovating and bending the rules of metallic hardcore/emo-crust... for so many years, influencing scores of copycats and delivering some of the most forward-thinking and sonically abrasive music ever heard. They came out of the great spanish scene with bands like EKKAIA, MADAMAE GERMEN, DOWN TO AGONY just to name a few.
The collection of this double-LP captures ICTUS in their last years, spanning the timeframe of 2006-2007. This period was extremely productive for the band, generating the split 10“ with OKBAN, the Split LP with THIS THING CALLED DYING and the full-length IMPERIUM as well as multiple european tours. The resultant of this 3 tracks were unpredictable - rageful and delicate, catchy and obtuse. Consider this as heavy, raw, dark, arty, hardcore, metal and extreme. Its just amazing.

AA86. Light Bearer - Silver Tongue 2xLP/CD
Light Bearer are not stuck in any one strict heavy music genre, but open to everything. What i mean by that is there is no formulaic style to the songs on this album. But to try to give an idea of where they are coming from i'd draw comparisons to unconventional post metal/hardcore bands like Isis, Red Sparowes or Amenra. The two years of development of 'Silver Tongue' has brought interrelated and interwoven changes which seamlessly merge with it's narrative. Would it be ok to use a word like 'beautiful' with such aggressive heavy music? With a personality and style well and truly all their own. The cello goes very deep on 'Matriarch', a dark slow passage accompanied by very sorrowful singing. Which leads into a crow like vocal sound on the opening of 'Clarus', but switches to a church like hymn. These passages lead nicely into a more confrontational 'Aggressor & Usurper' which has a real decent ascent and descent throughout. Like an orchestral piece this song has changes which go from a macabre sounding piano and violin. Then to real all out frenzied coarse type hardcore. The final Track 'Silver Tongue' starts in a completely different manner. It could even be radio friendly in the very beginning. But like a symphony it has changes from a very layered slow pulsating heavy hardcore rhythm to an ambiane with orchestral like percussion. Light Bearer have now set a high standard other bands will have to struggle to match.
