Ich habe mich dazu entschlossen einen eigenen CBP Thread zu eröffnen.

Paranoid Arm of the Narcoleptic Empire hat mir einfach als Titel am besten gefallen. Bin da aber offen für Kritik und andere Vorschläge.

(was das vierte Video angeht habe ich Verständnis dafür, dass es Leute gibt die so ein Filmen aus dem Publikum nervig finden -dann noch ein ganzes Konzert lang- und möglicherweise nichtmal Bock dann haben so was zu sehen und das einfach nur fürchterlich finden aber da es von der letzten Tour ist, die Atmosphäre imo recht gut eingefangen wird und die Band selbst manchmal solche Publikumsclips teilt poste ich das hier jetzt)

Der letzte Post war "vor meiner Zeit", trotzdem: Die Suchfunktion benutzen -> Gerade wenn es um eine Lieblingsband geht -> vor allem wenn man dazu einen neuen Thread eröffnen möchte und die Band hier nicht unbekannt ist

Über Bronze wurde im Album Thread diskutiert.

ich bin irgendwann nach "white light generator" ausgestiegen... das ist nicht mehr meins.
live 2x gesehen, 2x großartig. aber in meine nähe kommen die leider auch nicht mehr und wien ist mir dann für eine band, die ich momentan kaum noch höre, zu weit.

Trotzdem danke fürs Posten, Nat. Viel Interessantes dabei. Dieses Jahresangebot schaue ich mir später mal genauer an. Die Destroy Freak Valley scheint allerdings nur Download zu sein.

Announcement!
We are set to record an EP of cover versions (no, not Pink Floyd THIS time, more news on something PF related coming soon though)
Planned to be something very cool and vinyl based.
Along with other cool stuff, live recordings and gigs etc, it's looking to be a very productive period for CBP.

Horrific Honorifics

The time is right for CBP to finally release a recording made up of cover versions.

New EP "Horrific Honorifics" is an unashamed celebration of songs that have either influenced Justin Greaves and CBP in music and life, or have been on the "cover song short list" for quite some time, waiting to be recorded once the opportunity arose.

Throughout the history of the band there have always been the occasional cover songs, but mostly consigned to the extra-or-hidden-track department, although a couple of songs made it onto albums such as "Of A Lifetime" on I,Vigilante, and most recently "Turn To Stone" on the critically acclaimed album BRONZE, which were instant hits and popular live songs. Now it's time to dedicate a whole release to this CBP tradition.

Greaves says about the recording - "These songs are ones i have wanted to record for some time, ones where i feel a connection, and ones where i just simply want to have a go at doing our own version out of respect for a good tune. Songs like "False Spring", "In Bad Dreams" and "The Faith Healer" have been constant companions in my music listening, and when i listen i could kinda hear CBP doing a half-decent attempt on them. Other songs on this recording mean a lot more to me, like "Victory", "Will-O-The-Wisp" and "The Golden Boy Swallowed By The Sea", they are songs that hit a little deeper into my emotions for various reasons. So I'm really glad to be able to do these covers finally, some are quite faithful to the original, and a couple are more transformed into the CBP way of things, but they're all done out of respect".

Bei der Freak Valley Platte heißt es schnell zugreifen. Die von Nat gepostete Version gibt es nur 140 mal. Die komplett schwarze immerhin 300 mal.

Glücklicherweise befindet sich das Kleinod bereits hier...nur noch nicht angehört.

7 Konzerte, in Deutschland scheinen sie was Konzertnachfrage angeht am erfolgreichsten zu sein, war bei der letzten größeren Tour ähnlich (oder hat das vielleicht auch organisatorische Gründe und hier klappt es besser mit der Organisation von Konzerten? )

Dann habe ich vielleicht noch eine andere. Meine ist 33/55 nummeriert . Ist auch die silber/schwarze. Wenn ich dazu komme, knips ich die mal mit dem Vinyl. Schwer zu beschreiben.
@ Bart: wäre super, wenn du so weitermachst . Das Coveralbum auf Vinyl würde ich ungern verpassen, schaff's aber kaum, da entsprechend dranzubleiben.

Das neue CBP Album dürfte so langsam fertig sein und wird vorraussichtlich den Titel "Great Escape" haben.

Bereits am 2.4 wurde bei FB folgendes gepostet:

It is definitely because my CBP family are extremely fantastic and we’ve made a belter of an album, currently being channelled through the immense talent of Karl Daniel Lidén .... extraordinary mix execution.

Mir ist gerade eben aufgefallen, woher CBP ihre Inspiration zu ihrem größten "Hit" (Edit: Burnt Reynolds) haben.
Ja klar orientieren sie sich an Pink Floyd, das haben sie nie geleugnet.
Aber es gibt Prozesse, da werden Bands wegen kleineren Kleinigkeiten verklagt.


Die ersten 2 Minuten von Pink Floyds "Sorrow" vom Album "A momentary lapse of reason" reichen.
