Na, die ersten beiden Alben sind doch super.
Wie's danach weiterging, hab ich aber nur anhand einzelner Songs verfolgt... sofern man von verfolgt überhaupt sprechen kann. Und da war mMn halt dann die Luft raus (falls ich falsch liege, lasst es mich wissen).

würde mich da kaum als spezialisten bezeichnen, leite die frage daher mal weiter an pixie.

Birdbrain ist für mich immer noch ihr bestes Album. Danach kommt Smitten und Sleepy Eyed. Das letzte ist nicht schlecht aber ein ganz klein wenig eintönig. Etwas variabler beim Songschreiben könnten sie schon werden. Ich freu mich jedenfalls aufs neue Album.

Seit Hold it on fand ich die Releases alle eher mau. Könnte also ruhig mal wieder was geiles von den Melvins kommen.

eben das. Aber der Titel klingt halt so, dass man schon wieder so ein Buttholes-Gespacke serviert bekommt (und ich mag die Buttholes, in ihrer, naja sagen wir klassischen Phase, aber nur Pinkus + Melvins isses halt net so).
