For clarity's sake, we would like to state that in no way is Crusades' decision to call it a day rooted in animosity or in-fighting of any kind. Nor was it a decision that was arrived at flippantly.
At the core of it was the simple realization that the band had run its course. That it seemed impossible to envision the four of us creating another record from the ground up, to navigate, as a foursome, both our personal and creative lives, through the hills and valleys of writing and recording and performing and everything that comes along with that.
It was of the utmost importance that we grind to a halt while we're still as close as we've ever been. That we finish as four of each other's best friends, that the last shows we play together be truly meaningful and not some kind of necessary evil after things had fizzled out. That we depart on a high note, having reached what we feel is our creative apex and releasing a record that we're so genuinely proud of.
We've had the pleasure and good fortune to work with and meet so many incredible people over the past 10 years, to travel to places we otherwise, quite possibly, may never have seen. And that our songs have meant something real or important to anyone outside of our band has never been lost on any of us. So we'll put this to bed while all of these thoughts and feelings still resonate, so that we can properly say goodbye while it means the world to us.
A sincere, passionate thank you to anyone who has shown us love of any kind. And a special thanks to everyone at Anxious and Angry, It's Alive Records, Destructure, No Idea Records, Hardware Records, Sabotage Records, Razorcake/Gorsky Press, Inc., Underground Communique Records, Rad Girlfriend Records, Dirt Cult Records, Wolf Lake Studios and, of course, THE FEST, for taking a chance on some wordy nerds and helping get our music out there. We certainly couldn't have done it without you.

It is with a heavy heart that we announce to you that The Midnight Ghost Train is hanging it up and saying goodbye. Our personal family lives have become more important to us than being on the road. We feel content and successful in what we have built in the past ten years, our amazing dedicated fan base being our greatest achievement. We respect our fans and our music, so we’ve decided it is time to say goodbye.
We will be finishing our career as The Midnight Ghost Train with three final shows. So if you want to see us perform one last time giving you every piece of our soul that's left, here are your chances:

Maybe we will come back some day down the road, and storm back to the stage better than ever, but at this time that plan is not in place for the distant future. Right now we want to focus on our family lives, and continue on with our other dreams and aspirations.

Ich würde das auch so befürworten. Gleichzeitig ist eine Reunion in 10 Jahren aber auch nichts vollkommen Unrealistisches. Wer ist nicht schon alles zurückgekommen....
Klingt nach einer Mischung aus 80er-Poprock (ich muss an The Outfield denken, die mit Your Love) und 90er-Poppunk (das melancholisch-Sommerhafte und das Arrangement). Iwie fühlt es sich auch ein bisschen nach den Replacements (oder genauer Shark Tape) an. Ich gebe aber offen zu dass ich den Song vor allem wegen den unglaublich sehnend-melancholischen Breitwandemotionen mag - innovativ ist da nichts. Trotzdem massive Reinhörempfehlung wenn die Beschreibung sich für euch iwie gut liest.

Hab es heute Nacht erst gelesen. Warum das hier auf keinen einschlägigen Seiten zu lesen war hat mich etwas gewundert, schließlich hat die Punk in Drublic Tour NOFX für einige Shows durch die Descendents bzw die Gimme Gimmes durch die Vandals ersetzt. Mal gespannt was das für die deutschen Shows bedeutet.

Und dann noch auf das Publikum zu reagieren mit "You were all thinking it"...nee. Wenn man dann auf amerikanischen Facebookseiten noch die Kommentare der Fans liest, dann sollen die mal alle schön auf ihre einsame Insel, solche Leute brauche ich nicht. Unfassbar, dass die potentiell die selben Shows besuchen wie ich.

Ich glaube kaum, dass die ihre Bühnenpöbeleien choreographieren.
NOFX haben sowas schon immer gemacht, und Fat Mike war... vielleicht nicht "schon immer", aber schon seit langem ein richtiges Arschloch (Roadies vor dem Publikum zur Sau machen und selber aber beschissen singen weil man vor lauter Koks supertrockene Stimmbänder hat ist ein Rockstarmove im Sinne von "der fette satte Saurier braucht einen Dämpfer"). Der steht, Indiekredibilität hin oder her, auch sehr für Master Card-Punkrock, nach dem Motto: Ich kann es mir leisten, ich bin Millionär. Greift ja auch in dem Fall. Habe mir Teile der Bandbio mal auf YT gegeben; mich überrascht da gar nichts. Zum Glück sind die Alben der Band seit circa 10 Jahren auch extrem optional.
